How Frustrating Is Your Web Presence
How effective is your web presence?
Do you even have a web presence?
We ask this of many or our clients and potential clients every day:
- What are you expecting from your website?
- Your current website, is it effective in drawing new clientele in?
- How often do you update and refresh your web presence with new, relevant information?
- What are your goals?
- What have your results been thus far?
Surprisingly, we get quite a few blank stares and “um, I’m not sure” responses from our clients/potential clients.
Frustration
One of the most frustrating things for our current and past clients has been not knowing where to start with their web presence, or update their presence that they paid thousands of dollars for years ago and has never been updated.
All businesses have been told by company A & B that they will handle their SEO, get them found on google and charge them an exorbitant amount of money every month.
What they won’t tell you is that in order to get true Organic Search Results in Google and other search engines, you need to be adding relevant content… constantly.
But What About the Keywords and Meta Tags?
So what about these?
They do play an important part in search engine indexing, but that is not what the search engines look for these days… they look for fresh, relevant content.
For example, you own a roofing company and get this slick website built that has all the greatest keywords and meta tags.
Great! So did 5,000 other roofing companies in your area.
What does Google do with these competing keywords and meta tags? Not much… Google looks for relevant content within the site.
In our next post we will walk through how to create relevant content and avoid falling below the fold in Google search results and increase your web presence.
